MebbsUSRS V.161
----- -------
For USE with either handles turned on or off in MebbsNet Config.
If you don't already have it, create the directory DOORS:CONF and copy
MebbsUSRS to that directory. Doors: must be assigned.
Now edit the file DOORS:CONF/MebbsUSRS.CFG and enter four numbers,
The FIRST:
Shows the Minimunaccess allowed to see LINE 0 status.
If you want line 0 visible to only sysops then make it a 31.
The SECOND:
The minimum access level required to send a private message to the
lines shown, one line at a time.
The THIRD:
The minimum access required to broadcast a message to *all*
users on shown lines.
The FOURTH:
A 0 or a 1, 1 if you want the screens cleared first or a 0 is you
do not want the screen clearedIf this file does not exist, the
door will use the defaults as listed in the below example.
Line 2
Holds the line that you want displayed telling the users
how to react to getting a message. ie...
REPLY by hitting * or X from the Main Menu Command Line...
0 0 31 0 (all on the same line) | LINE 1
^ ^ ^ spaces are important! |
REPLY by hitting * or X from the Main Menu Command Line... | LINE 2
And you may change the second line to comply with your keypress notations
(upto 78 chars long) for entering both the MebbsNet Conference door and the
MebbsUSRS 'Who is on the other lines' door.
Users can now selectively hide from other users. To do this read the online
help file.
Now just add it into your doors.dat file like any other door or add it
to your menus using the rundoor or multirundoor commands. Your users
will now be able to see who is on line and what they are doing. Some
will be able to broadcast messages depending on how you have set up the
Mebbsusers.cfg file. If you send a message to someone that is in Conference
already then it will not send your second line of the .cfg file but instead
will say... "To reply hit '/*'".
